The Lake Erie Crushers, who are presented by Akron Children’s Hospital, have announced a $5 ticket offer for any fans willing to get a COVID-19 vaccine at the ballpark on opening night. The Crushers are partnering with the Lorain County Public Health to encourage fans to get vaccinated at Mercy Health Stadium on Thursday, May 27thfrom 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
“We are excited to partner with Lorain County Public Health to encourage our fans to get the vaccine to fight COVID-19,” stated Crushers Co-Owner Tom Kramig.
“Discounted tickets is another perk added to a long list of benefits of getting a COVID-19 vaccine,” said Dave Covell, health commissioner at Lorain County Public Health. “If you haven’t been vaccinated yet, here’s a chance to get a vaccine before an evening of summer fun at the ballpark,” said Covell.
Choose a free pre-game COVID-19 vaccine – Johnson & Johnson for people age 18 and older or Pfizer for people age 12 and up. To take advantage of this ticket deal, register in advance for the vaccine at LorainCountyHealth.com/coronavirus. There is no cost for COVID-19 vaccinations through Lorain County Public Health.
