Crushers Sign Former MLB and Midview Pitcher

The Lake Erie Crushers, who are presented by Akron Children’s Hospital, have signed former MLB and Midview High School Pitcher Ryan Feierabend for the 2021 Frontier League Season. Feierabend graduated from Midview High School in 2003 and went on to pitch for 3 Major League teams during his 18-year career in professional Baseball.

“To have the opportunity to welcome Ryan Feierabend back to northern Ohio to pitch for the Crushers is very exciting,” stated Crushers Co-Owner Tom Kramig. “We’re looking forward to not only seeing Ryan take the mound at Mercy Health Stadium but also to the impact he will have on our entire clubhouse.”

“To come back home and pitch for the hometown fans will be very special,” Feierabend added.

“I am looking forward to playing in Lorain County and help the Crushers win a Frontier League Championship.”

Feierabend graduated from Midview High School in Grafton in 2003 and was drafted and signed by the Seattle Mariners. He has spent 17 years in professional Baseball, including stops with the Seattle Mariners, Texas Rangers and Toronto Blue Jays. Ryan has also pitched professionally overseas in the Korean and Chinese professional baseball leagues.
